Dr. Pawan Gupta pioneered India’s first structured curriculum for tobacco cessation certifications. These certificate programs were meticulously designed to equip healthcare professionals with the scientific knowledge and practical skills required for effective tobacco cessation intervention at the clinic.
Emphasizing digital and data-driven intervention methods, the curriculum has achieved remarkable success rates. Dr. Gupta has successfully trained over 950 healthcare professionals across 50+ disciplines in India. This curriculum has helped numerous practitioners to establish their tobacco cessation clinics. Dr. Gupta’s efforts have led to the establishment of the Centre of excellence for Tobacco Cessation at Seema Dental College, Rishikesh, a first of its kind in India.
Dr. Pawan is the course convenor and master convenor for tobacco cessation certifications titled Orientation Course in Tobacco Cessation and Certified Tobacco Cessation Specialist. These courses empower the participant with the knowledge on scientific and data driven cessation intervention with very high success rate. Through his educational initiatives and mentoring, Dr. Gupta is inspiring a new generation of healthcare professionals to take up the cause of tobacco control and cancer prevention. A series of Oral Oncology Connect sessions are being organized for dental surgeons and onco-surgeons periodically to synergise together for multidisciplinary care of the oral cancer patients for better quality of life.
Dr. Pawan has initiated online sessions on 15th of every month, for HCPs from diverse fields to discuss various challenging cases for tobacco cessation and their related field of work and seek help from fellow participants for the best possible treatment outcome.
Round table discussions are also held with a multidisciplinary team of onso-surgeons, radiation, chemotherapists, medical oncologist, reconstructive surgeon, etc. to plan the most optimal treatment strategy for patients.
“Pink Angel” is a focused 2-hour empowerment program designed to equip female medical practitioners, healthcare workers, and social workers with advanced knowledge in breast cancer management. As part of the broader Empower Her initiative, this course aims to build a network of “Pink Angels”—dedicated women who lead in breast cancer care and advocacy.
This course is tailored for female medical practitioners and social workers aged 30-50, providing them with the tools and knowledge to become “Pink Angels”—champions for breast health in their communities.
